Back to top German composer. Professor at the conservatory in East Berlin since 1950. Rudolf Wagner-Régeny's early compositions was inspired by Ferruccio Busoni, Kurt Weill and Arnold Schönberg. His theater cooperations with C. Neher and Bertold Brecht was also of importance for the development of his style. Wagner-Régeny wrote operas (Der Güstling, 1935, Persische Episode, 1952, Das Bergwerk zu Falun, 1961), ballets (Tristan, 1968), orchestral works and chamber music. Back to top
