The Ensemble Music Finder

Introduction

This new ensemble music finder is probably the most ambitious internet project I've ever tried my hands on. It should actually allow you to search Musica Viva for music suitable for more than 2 500 000 000 000 000 different instrument combinations!!!
(Whether you actually find anything useful is another matter, of course ;-)

The Ensemble Music Finder is a developing project, and there are still hundreds of details to sort out. Please email me with any questions, comments and suggestions about it at: frnordbe@online.no

Brass instruments

The brass instruments are organised according to size and pitch rather than name. It might be a little confusing at first, but this table might help:

Tenor horn

If you play the tenor (tenor horn), you have to know which country you live in! (Shouldn't be too difficult, should it? ;-)
The instrument called "tenor horn" in Britain and the USA, is what the rest of the world calls "alto horn", while the "tenor horn" in the rest of the world is called "baritone" in Britain and the USA!
I know it's stupid, but there's not much we can do about it :-(
