Version 4.5 (Sept 30th 2001 - Jul 21st 2002)September 11th 2001 killed internet commerce as we used to know it. There's no logical reason for that, but it did. That meant that the advertisement income who used to cover the expenses of Musica Viva all but vanished. :-( This almost killed the site, but in the end I decided to keep it up hoping for better days.
July 19th 2002- 4306 new titles in one go!!!
April 22nd 2002March 5th 2002Feb 27th 2002Jan 6th 2002- 596 new titles. I also removed three duplicates among the old ones, bringing the total number of titles up to 3931.
Nov 24th 2001- Some minor modifications to the midi archive. Due to some outdated scripts, not all composers and countries were listed in the respective lists. This should be corrected now.
Nov 23rd 2001Nov 22nd 2001Nov 20th 2001- 51 new titles all over the place.
- Updated the encyclopedia.
- ... and a couple of other minor changes as well.
Oct 26th 2001- 105 new titles all over the place.
Oct 25th 2001Oct 22nd 2001- Fixed a couple of errors.
Oct 5th 2001- 21 new titles all over the place.
Oct 4th 2001Sept 30th 2001 - third updateSept 30th 2001 - second updateSept 30th 2001 - first updateI've decided to call September 30th 2001 the official version 4.5 update day. Actually I can't do a major update on a single day anymore - the site has grown far too large for that - but this is the day I uploaded the new sheet music archives, and they are still the core of Musica Viva.Musica Viva 4.0 was the first incarnation of the site that took advantage of WebCtalogue's scripting possibilities. Version 4.5 takes this further, adding more search functions, interlinking the different parts more effectively, and... well, we'll see. I have some really exciting plans for Musica Viva. Oh yes, I changed the background too. I hope the new light grey colour is easier on the eye than the old white background.
