For those who don't use a Macintosh computer...The link to this page says "For Mac users only". That doesn't mean you're not welcome - it's just that you might find very much of interest to you on this particular page. The "tacky browser" is a problem on all platforms, and I know there are solutions available for everybody! But the Mac OS is the only I know well enough myself to be able to offer any help. Free web browsers for the MacintoshAre you tired of
"Chamelon browser", what's that?OK, I made that up myself ;-)A chamelon browser is simply a browser that is able to "change its colour" - to disguise itself as any other browser on the web. Have you ever come across a site that only allows one specific browser and/or OS? No worries! Just change the preferences and in you go!  Cheating? Of course it is, but let's face it: That kind of site doesn't belong on the internet at all, and anybody who puts one up deserves all the problems we can possibly give them!!! SafariApple finally got fed up with IE and decided to come up with something better themselves. Took them a couple of days, I guess...Safari may not look much different from IE/Navigator, but in fact it's based on a completely different core. While both IE and Navigator are based around the aging Mozilla core (Netscape developed it, Microsoft stole it), Safari is built on the much more modern Konquerer browser. This means a smaller and much faster browser. Safari is now the standard browser for all new Macintosh computers. If you've got an older Mac, you can just download it for free, and discover internet anew! If your computer runs OS X, you can click here for more info about Safari. You should still read on first, though. The next one might be even more interesting to you. iCabThere's definitely some symbolism in the names here. Netscape once let you Navigate the uncharted territory of the internet. But now that the land has been Explored and Konquered, it's time for a pleasant Safari, or - let's face it - the way the web has developed, the best way to get around it is to just take a cab. ;-)If the big guys at Microsoft and Netscape have any sense at all, they've got to be really embarrased about this. A lone German programmer has almost single-handedly managed to build from scratch a browser that leaves those big companies in the dust! iCab runs on all Mac OS versions from 7.0 and upwards, requires only 13.5 MB of memory and includes everthing you'd expect from a browser and more - much more. The downside? Well, iCab is a browser only, there's no email client. This means you'll have to keep Netscape or Outlook Express (or whatever email software you use). Not much of a problem, but wouldn't it be nice to have a email program with iCab quality as well? click here for more info about iCab Are you still here? You want even more great tips for free from me? Man, you're had to satisfy!OK, then - this has nothing to do with browsers, but do you know Mac Music?
