I have to be careful now. Bellman is one of my all time favorite musicians, and if I start writing about him I might easily get carried away. Carl Michael Bellman (1740-1795) was a singer/songwriter almot 200 years before that became popular. He used popular tunes from his own time, modified to suit his need and then added some of the most beautiful lyrics that has ever been produced in Sweden.
To match that Thord Lindé has created one of the most amazingly well-designed sites I've ever seen. It contains everything about Bellman - including facsimiles of his collected works. It's really a pity nobody has translated it all into English.
