45 lute pieces by Francesco Canova da Milano and his student Pietro Paulo Borrono da Milano. At the beginning of the book there is a short explanation of the Italian lute tablature system.
Two of the pieces have optional parts for a second lute. "Libro secondo" does not mean this was the third book of pieces by Milano, but to the fact that it was published in a set of three books where Rotta1546 were book I and Crema1546 book III. The only copy I have seen had all those bound together in a single volume, by I can't say whether this was always the case.
